CyrusOne Buys Downtown Cincinnati Building; Flaherty & Collins Snaps Up Oakley Site

CyrusOne Inc., the wholly owned subsidiary that owns and operates Cincinnati Bell Inc.’s data center business, has acquired its parent company’s downtown Cincinnati building.

CORTEX Announces $186M Phase II in Biotech District

Phase II of CORTEX, midtown St. Louis’s bioscience and technology hub, will bring 384,000 square feet of additional lab and office space to the technology district. The total facilities space in the technology district will total over 1,000,000 square feet when the phase is complete.

Expedient Plans Major Expansion for Pittsburgh Data Center

Expedient is planning a six-month, multi-million dollar project that will double the size of its second Pittsburgh data center. Located within Allegheny Center Mall, the facility is expected to reach a total of 18,000 square feet of computing space and 25,000 square feet overall. It is the company’s third data center expansion in Pittsburgh since 2008. “We are pleased with the accelerating demand for our private cloud and colocation services in the Pittsburgh market and we look forward to the opportunities that our expansion projects will provide to our current and future customers,” said Shawn McGorry, President and COO of Expedient.

Nationwide Insurance Opens Fortified for Safer Business Campus

Nationwide Insurance officially opened its new campus in Westover Hills, making it the first-ever FORTIFIED for Safer Business campus in the United States. The 280,000-square-foot sales and operations center was built to the Institute for Business and Home Safety’s disaster-resistance standards, meaning it is able to withstand disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires and windstorms.
