PNM’s plan to build additional solar-powered generating stations has been unanimously approved by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission. PNM will add four more solar photovoltaic facilities that translate into another 40 megawatts of utility-scale solar power.

Gibson Rising is a new 4.5-acre development located on Gibson Boulevard at the southeast corner of the Gibson/University intersection. The property will house two national retail chains, Chili’s and Chick-fil-A. A third restaurant will follow after signing the lease.

Family-owned Love’s Travel Stop & Country Store announced plans to expand in Albuquerque’s West Side by building a second, larger 24/7 truck stop at the Interstate 40 and Atrisco Vista Boulevard interchange. The company has purchased 11 acres of land near the Tempur-Pedic Mattresses facility.

Albuquerque-based self-storage facility, Stormax USA, has filed for bankruptcy. As a result, the property will be sold through a live auction on November 24. SVN Auction Services’ Louis B. Fisher III, CAI, is leading the auction efforts. Written bids are due November 21 and will sell to the highest bidder per the court order.

An Associa company, Canyon Gate added to its community management portfolio three more communities since August; a fourth one will be joining in December. Canyon Gate will provide to all of them the full array of management services, including financial, community management, communications, record-keeping, and administrative services.

The Naples, Florida-based DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group, LLC has announced the development of a new residential treatment center in Albuquerque for Acadia Healthcare. The construction of the facility will be divided into two phases.

In northern New Mexico there’s a Ranch for Kids With Cancer that’s been listed for sale by its owner, the renowned cranky WABC radio and Fox Business News morning personality, Don Imus. The main reason behind the transaction is Imus’ belief that his family could support more charitable foundations with funds generated by the sale.

The Magnuson Hotel and Suites Alamogordo, located south of Albuquerque, has recently been converted becoming the 400th Best Western the company is taking upon. Formerly the hotel was known as Best Western Desert Aire.

A historic motel along Route 66, currently left to crumble, will get a consistent makeover as part of an ongoing plan to revitalize a section of the popular highway. The Pueblo-style El Vado Motel will begin transformation in 2016.
