The Magnuson Hotel and Suites Alamogordo, located south of Albuquerque, recently became the 400th Best Western to be converted to the Magnuson brand. Formerly the hotel was known as Best Western Desert Aire.

The development offers 92 rooms and is located in close proximity of the New Mexico Museum of Space History, White Sands National Monument, the White Sands Missile Range and the Trinity Site. The conversion increases exposure through Magnuson Hotels’ growing consumer popularity and global portfolio of almost 2,000 hotels.

Magnuson Hotels has recently received certification from the U.S. Franchise Registry, the national listing of brands approved by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This certification allows hotel owners and developers to obtain faster track funding from local and regional banks, explaining the rapid growth of Best Western conversions to Magnuson hotels.

“On behalf of Magnuson Hotels, we are proud to welcome Tony Mandalia and his team to the Magnuson Hotels brand family,” said Thomas Magnuson, company CEO. “We are fully committed to growing his revenue, his company, and his plan to become the top hotel in his market.”

Magnuson Hotels was founded in 2003 and has become the fastest growing hotel chain in the history, currently representing nearly 2,000 hotels worldwide with assets worth $6 billion. The Magnuson Hotels brand growth is up 40 percent over last year, and the 400 Best Western conversions represent 20 percent of Best Western’s North American portfolio. Designated the #1 Hotel Company of Inc. Magazine’s 5,000 fastest growing private U.S. companies, Magnuson is one of the top 10 global hotel chains.
