Skanska Appoints New East Coast COO

In his new position, Sal Taddeo will oversee the company’s civil construction operations in the east region, including projects from Florida to Boston.

Atlanta—Global construction and development giant Skanska announced the promotion of Sal Taddeo as chief operating officer for the U.S., east region. In his new position, Sal Taddeo will oversee the company’s civil construction operations in the east, including projects in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Washington, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Boston, Mass.

The newly appointed COO has served Skanska for the past two decades. Taddeo’s most recent position with the company was vice president of the southeast region. During his time as vice president, he led Skanska’s expansion in Florida by opening an office in Orlando and contributed to the securing of the company’s first two U.S. public-private partnerships – Elizabeth River Tunnels and I-4 Ultimate Improvement Project.

New York-headquartered Skanska USA has offices in over 30 metropolitan areas. During 2015, the company’s construction and development projects generated over $7 billion in revenue. Stockholm-based parent company Skanska AB is one of the world’s largest powerhouses in its field, having totaled in excess of $18.4 billion in global revenue for 2015.
