Pharos CB Hospitality Acquires Aloft Tampa Downtown

A Charlotte-based institutional grade hotelier announced the acquisition of Aloft Tampa Downtown in the city center area of Tampa.

Pharos CB Hospitality has recently acquired Aloft Tampa Downtown. The institutional grade hotelier agreed with the seller, Liberty Tampa Investments LLC, for a sales price of $30 million. Pharos Hospitality acquires, develops, owns, and operates upscale hotels and has offices in New York City and Charlotte, NC.

Aloft Tampa Downtown is located at 100 W. Kennedy Blvd. on the Tampa Riverwalk—which is considered the city’s newest hot spot—and within walking distance to the Tampa Convention Center, the Florida Aquarium, the University of Tampa, and the Amalie Arena. The upscale select-service hotel offers 130 loft-like rooms, a splash pool, corporate meeting space, a gourmet food and beverage area and a bar.

Aloft Hotels was conceived in 2005 as part of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts portfolio of brands. The brand currently includes close to 80 hotels in the US and another 30 fly its flag around the world.
