Local Firm Sheds ChildNet HQ in Ft. Lauderdale

The office building at 1100 West McNab Rd. in Fort Lauderdale traded hands recently. NGKF Capital Markets closed the $13.75 million sale of the Class B asset, and Clark-Ohio Associates purchased the property from local firm Case Holding Co. Inc.

The two-story, 82,854-square-foot building sits on 6.85 acres in North Fort Lauderdale, near the intersection of West McNab and Powerline Roads. It will remain the headquarters of the single tenant, ChildNet. The organization was chosen by the Florida Department of Children & Families to serve as the Community Based Care lead agency in both Broward and Palm Beach counties. It is the only private non-profit entity responsible for administration of the local child welfare system in each county.

NGKF Capital Markets Executive Managing Directors Adam Greenberg and Michael Lapointe and Managing Director Michael Lohmann represented the seller in the transaction. The South Florida-based team also included Senior Financial Analyst Scott Gordon and Senior Transaction Specialist Stephanie Ceballos.
