Landmark Properties Buys 3 Student Housing Assets

The firm adds a total of 1,130 beds with the new acquisitions, located in Florida and Texas.

Landmark Properties has expanded its student housing portfolio by adding three new communities: The Nine at Rio, The Nine at West Campus in Austin, Texas, and The Nine at Tallahassee in Tallahassee, Fla.

The portfolio—acquired in partnership with an investment group led by Ocean West Capital Partners—consists of 1,130 beds.

Completed this fall, the 347-bed The Nine at Rio and the 345-bed The Nine at West Campus serve students at the University of Texas-Austin. The 438-bed The Nine at Tallahassee was built last year and serves Florida State University.

Located at the corner of 21st and Rio Grande Streets., The Nine at Rio includes common-area amenities including a 24-hour fitness center, private study rooms, iMac computers and an open study area equipped with lounging booths. Additionally, outdoor seating, a golf simulator, gaming lounge, swimming pool and barbecue grills are available.

The Nine at West Campus features a mix of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom units and includes common-area amenities such as a fitness center, roughly 6,000 square feet of clubhouse space, a resort-style swimming pool with in-water tanning shelf seating, fire pit lounge, courtyard grilling stations, seated bar area, video gaming lounge and Starbucks coffee bar.

Located at 924 W. Pensacola St., The Nine at Tallahassee includes common-area amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool, an indoor-outdoor fitness center, private study rooms, rooftop grilling stations, seated bar area, private pool cabanas and a coffee bar.
