Located at 1000 Blvd. of the Arts in Sarasota, Fla., the 294-key hotel features 20,000 square feet of function and 3,000 square feet of prefunction space, a 10,000-square-foot ballroom, three landscaped areas for outdoor events and a business center.

Additional amenities include a private marina with dockmaster, 32-slip floating dock system, restaurant and bar, pool bar & cafe, a heated outdoor lap pool with free-form lagoon swimming pool and waterfalls, a 24-hour gym, an on-site CB Outfitters and fishing, boating, kayaking and bicycle rentals.

Growing partnership

Interstate also operates a 230-key Marriott in Minneapolis for Patel. “It is gratifying to earn additional business from an existing customer,” said Mike Deitemeyer, CEO of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, in prepared remarks. “Operating premium-branded, full service hotels are at the core of our management capabilities, and we are excited to expand our relationship with Dr. Patel’s organization within this lodging sector.”

The property is adjacent to the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall and Municipal Exhibition Hall, which features 10,000 square feet of exhibition space and a 1,761-seat theater, the Florida West Coast Symphony–Holley Hall, David Cohen Hall and the Mote Marine Aquarium Science Center. The Hyatt Regency Sarasota is also three miles to Lido Beach and eight miles to Siesta Key Public Beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

Interstate’s global portfolio currently includes 447 properties with 82,602 rooms including signed hotels under construction or development.
