Berkadia Relocates Boston Office

Boston—Berkadia announced the relocation of its Boston office in order to accommodate for the company’s growth. Taking over suite 720 of the Old South Building, a co-addressed property at 10 Milk St./294 Washington St., the expanded location offers increased production activity on both the regional and local levels.

The 11-story, 230,206-square-foot building is located in the heart of Boston’s central business district. Built in 1903, the transit-oriented property is situated within a quarter mile of four subway stations, was last renovated in 1989 and offers 20,000 square feet of ground-level retail space, according to Yardi Matrix.

The move brings together a mix of employees located throughout the Boston area. Managing Director Ryan Nelson, Director Anthony Golebiewski and Associate Director Todd Rixon will focus on originations for all commercial property sectors and multifamily through Berkadia’s Fannie and Freddie platforms, life companies and banking relationships. Senior Director Gemma Geldmacher will focus on multifamily and affordable housing through the company’s Fannie, Freddie and HUD platforms.

“This move demonstrates Berkadia’s long-term commitment to Boston and the New England region, one of the most dynamic areas of the country,” said Nelson in prepared remarks.

Berkadia’s expansion in Boston comes on the heels of the relocation of its Houston office, a recent move that also came to support increased production volume.
