Attorney Hugh Finnegan Joins Romer Debbas as Partner
With more than three decades of experience, Hugh Finnegan will also serve as co-manager of the firm’s commercial real estate department, focusing on enhancing the company's lending platform.
Romer Debbas LLP, a New York City-based boutique law firm specializing in commercial and residential real estate transactions, named attorney Hugh Finnegan as a partner and co-manager of the firm’s commercial real estate department. Finnegan will focus on further enhancing the company’s lending platform, particularly on behalf of middle-market lenders.
CRE finance experience
Prior to this role, Finnegan was a partner in the New York office of Sullivan & Worcester LLP, a corporate law firm involved in high-profile transactions such as Government Properties’ $1.4 billion acquisition of First Potomac. Before that, he was a partner at Siller Wilk LLP, a New York-based law firm. Finnegan has more than 30 years of experience as a real estate attorney, with particular expertise in representing lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financings (acquisitions, bridge, construction, project and mezzanine), loan restructurings and workouts. He also specializes in sales and acquisitions of undeveloped and developed properties, including green developments ,and representing both landlords and tenants in leasing transactions for offices, warehouses, shopping centers, restaurants, construction matters and retail users.
Romer Debbas’ new partner earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.
