Kansas City Shopping Center Fetches $27M
A new owner has emerged for The Shops at Boardwalk in Kansas City, Mo.

Retail Properties of America Inc. (RPAI) has parted ways with a 122,397-square-foot shopping center in Kansas City, Mo.
GDA Real Estate Services LLC of Colorado shelled out $27.4 million for The Shops at Boardwalk in the Northland Kansas City submarket, on behalf of ACF Property Management Inc. The HFF investment sales team led by Senior Managing Director Barry Brown and directors Amy Sands and Clinton Mitchell represented the seller in the transaction.
Located on 14.55 acres at 8628 N. Boardwalk Ave., at the intersection of Missouri Highway and Interstate 29, The Shops at Boardwalk was fully leased at the time of sale. The center’s tenant roster includes Gold’s Gym, Jos. A. Bank, Kirkland’s, Chipotle, Maurices, Rue 21, as well as a separately owned Walmart and Lowe’s right across the street.
