Washington REIT Hires New SVP
As senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, Taryn Fielder will oversee the company's legal operations.

Washington REIT announced the hiring of Taryn Fielder as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She will oversee the company’s legal operations. Additionally, Fielder will serve as the principal legal advisor to Washington REIT’s Board of Trustees and management team on commercial and capital market transactions, securities, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
With more than 10 years of practice in corporate and real estate law, Fielder most recently served as senior vice president and general counsel for ASB Real Estate Investments. She also worked as vice president and assistant general counsel for Diamond Rock Hospitality Co. and as commercial real estate associate for Hogan Lovells. Fielder received a bachelor of arts degree in international relations, political science, from Eckerd College, and is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
Taryn has a strong and proven track record of providing strategic advice and counsel for a wide range of complex real estate transactions, joint ventures, leasing agreements and financing arrangements, said Paul T. McDermott, president & CEO, in prepared statements.
Last month, Washington REIT announced that it had agreed to acquire 600 New Hampshire Ave. NW, a 12-story, 309,000-square-foot, Class A office building in Washington, D.C.
