Akridge, Long Wharf Real Estate Partners Buy Alexandria Office Building
Akridge announced on Monday, June 16, that it has partnered with Long Wharf Real Estate Partners to reacquire the four-story office building at 2800 Eisenhower Avenue, in Alexandria’s Carlyle/Eisenhower Submarket. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
LaSalle Hotel Properties Wraps $93M Sale of Hilton Alexandria Old Town
The Bethesda-based REIT, which announced the sale earlier this month, acquired the 246-key hotel in 2004 for $59 million.
TIAA-CREF Buys The Louis at 14th/U

Now, the property has a new owner. TIAA-CREF purchased the Northwest Washington, D.C., property at the start of June, for an undisclosed price.

Hines, Qatari Diar to Build 370-Room Conrad Hotel
Starting 2018, Washington, D.C., will be the home of a new luxury hotel. The developers of CityCenterDC, Hines, a privately owned real estate firm, and Qatari Diar, the real estate development entity of the Qatar Investment Authority, have recently reached an agreement with D.C. Mayor Vincent C. Gray to design and build the 370-room Conrad Washington, D.C., the newest property in the Conrad Hotels & Resorts luxury brand portfolio operated by Hilton Worldwide.

Bozzuto Homes to Build New Condos Near U Street Corridor
Bozzuto Homes, a division of The Bozzuto Group, is getting ready to start work on its second Washington, D.C. condo development in 2014. Earlier this year, the company broke ground on 460 New York Avenue, a 63-residence high-rise condominium community in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood. This summer, it will start construction on 96 condominiums at V Street NW and 15th Street NW.

Goldstar Group Buys Luxury Extended-Stay Apartments in Arlington, Plans Conversion into Condos
The Goldstar Group, a privately held firm based in Bethesda, is now the new owner of the luxury apartment complex at 3409 Wilson Boulevard in Arlington. The property was purchased from a joint venture between Hunt Properties, a privately held real estate development, investment and management firm, and Korman Communities, a fully integrated real estate company, for an undisclosed amount.
