Monument Realty to Build New NAB HQ Next Spring
The National Association of Broadcasters is moving its headquarters to D.C.’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. NAB has recently reached an agreement with local developer Monument Realty and its investment partner, the New York-based Angelo, Gordon & Company, to purchase upon completion a new office building at One M Street. The move-in is scheduled for fall 2018.

In Lusby, a groundbreaking ceremony formally launched the $3.8 billion expansion of the Cove Point liquefied natural gas facility, one of the largest investments in the state’s history. Gov. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust has finally completed its planned acquisition of the Springfield Town Center in Springfield, Virginia. The newly-redeveloped property changed hands for an impressive $465 million. Vornado Realty Trust was the seller.
Urban Investment, Lubert-Adler JV Buys Another Adams Morgan Apartment Building
The joint venture between Urban Investment Partners and Philadelphia-based Lubert-Adler Partners has purchased another apartment building in Washington, D.C.’s Adams Morgan neighborhood. The newest addition to the joint venture’s portfolio is called Embassy Towers. It was purchased for $13.25 million.

The hot Washington, D.C., office market continues to attract more and more investors. The most recent building to change hands is located at 2025 M Street NW, in the city’s Golden Triangle area. Mikeone EK purchased the asset for $109 million.
