The Pinkard Group Appoints New Principal

Fred Underwood will be responsible for the firm's acquisition and development services, having previously worked at Bernstein Management and Buchanan Partners.

The Pinkard Group has selected Fred Underwood as its newest principal. In his new role, he will handle property acquisitions and development services for the firm.

Fred is a great fit for our platform,” The Pinkard Group Founder & Principal Bob Pinkard said in a prepared statement. “With his significant experience sourcing transactions, involvement in complex development projects and in-depth knowledge of the local market, he will have an immediate impact on our company, giving a significant boost to our acquisition and development activity.”

Between 2008 and 2018, Underwood served as senior vice president at Bernstein Management, where he contributed to the acquisition and development of $1 billion worth of assets. Prior to that, he dealt with development and leasing operations at Buchanan Partners. The recently appointed executive holds a B.A. from Brown University, an MBA from Cornell University, an M.S. in real estate from Columbia University and a J.D. from American University.
