Tampa City Center Wins BOMA Earth Award

Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in commercial real estate services, announced today that the Building Owners and Managers Association of Tampa Bay (BOMA) has recognized Tampa City Center as the Earth Award winner for the 2015 Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards.

The TOBY awards honor outstanding commercial real estate properties and industry personnel. The prestigious Earth Award recognizes the building with the highest standards of which at least 50% of the building and building management team preserve and enhance the internal and external environment through green and sustainable programs.

Key components and accomplishments of Tampa City Center’s award-winning program include a focus on: 1) Reduction of Environmental Risk 2) Indoor Air Quality and Green Cleaning 3) Waste Recycling and 4) Resource Conservation.

Tampa City Center is located in the heart of downtown Tampa. Completed in 1981, the 40-story, multi-tiered glass building is LEED EB Gold certified, maintains an ENERGY STAR Label and holds the BOMA 360 Performance designation. The building is owned by 201 North Franklin Street Tampa, LLC and managed and leased by Cushman & Wakefield.

The successful merger of Cushman & Wakefield and DTZ closed September 1, 2015. The firm now operates under the Cushman & Wakefield brand and has a new visual identity and logo that position the firm for the future and reflect its trusted global legacy and wider history. The new Cushman & Wakefield is led by Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Brett White and Global President Tod Lickerman. The company is majority owned by an investor group led by TPG, PAG, and OTPP.
