Economy Watch: Fannie Mae Delinquencies Still Falling; Eurozone Inflation Dwindles to Near Zero; Chicago Business Down, Texas Manufacturing Up
Fannie Mae reported that its single-family serious delinquency rate declined from 2.3 percent in January to 2.2 percent in February. Eurozone inflation was at its lowest level in more than four years, with consumer prices rising at an annualized rate of 0.5 percent during the month, down from 0.7 percent in February. The Chicago Business Barometer decreased 3.9 points in March. However, Texas factory activity increased for the 11th month in a row in March.
