Sheraton Suites Hotel Trades Near Fort Lauderdale
A joint venture acquired the property from Everwood Hospitality Partners.

The Artifact Group and partner Rok Acquisitions have purchased the Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale West, a 265-room all-suite hotel in Plantation, Fla. Everwood Hospitality Partners sold the property, the price of which was not disclosed.
JLL, arranged the sale on behalf of the buyer and secured the acquisition financing in the form of a floating-rate, three-year loan through CIM Group.
The new ownership plans to invest $10 million in a brand-mandated property improvement plan that will refresh guest suites and corridors. The previous ownership completed about $12 million in renovations after acquiring the hotel, then known as the Sheraton Suites Plantation, from Fillmore Capital Partners in February 2018 for $24.7 million.

The hotel features seven event venues totaling 7,900 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 2,300-square-foot ballroom. Additional amenities include a rooftop pool and hot tub, fitness center, three-meal restaurant, full-service bar and a Marriott Bonvoy Elite Club lounge.
The property’s location along University Drive puts in the heart of Plantation Walk, a mixed-use district featuring more than 1,100 luxury apartments, 200,000 square feet of Class A office space, 205,000 square feet of medical office space and 220,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment venues.
The JLL Hotels & Hospitality team that arranged the sale was led by Senior Managing Director Andrew Dickey, Senior Directors Maciej Polek and Wyatt Krapf, Senior Associate Jesse Pohl, Associate Henry Winchester and Analyst Mason Greif.
A sunny spring forecast for the region
JLL reported that Plantation has emerged as a high-growth suburban market within Broward County, in part from its easy accessibility via Interstate 595 and the Florida Turnpike. The city of Plantation is about 20 minutes from both Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport and Port Everglades, which saw a record 4.1 million cruise passengers in 2024.
Hotels in Greater Fort Lauderdale reported strong performance in March, according to an April report from tourism marketing organization Visit Lauderdale. Occupancy reached 85 percent, a year-over-year increase of 6 percent, while metro hotel demand rose 9 percent year over year and the average daily rate reached $240.49.
