Regency Centers in Joint Venture for The Market at Springwoods Village

Retail real estate investment trust (REIT) Regency Centers Corporation revealed a joint venture with CDC Houston for the first grocery-anchored development for Springwoods Village.

HoustonRegency Centers Corporation announced a new partnership with CDC Houston to develop, own and manage The Market at Springwoods Village. The project is expected to open in the spring of 2017 and will be the first grocery-anchored development in the master-planned mixed-use community Springwoods Village.

The Market at Springwoods Village sits at the intersection of Holzwarth Road and the Grand Parkway and will encompass a mix of retail, dining, and grocery service. In the near vicinity are the ExxonMobil’s new corporate campus Southwestern Energy’s headquarters and CHI St. Luke’s Medical Campus. Moreover, the 170,000-square foot shopping center is seeking LEED Silver certification.

The Market at Springwoods Village is scheduled to break ground in March of 2016 and open in the spring of 2017. It will be anchored by a Kroger measuring 100,000 square feet.
