DuraMax, a division of US Polymers Inc., provides a line of vinyl wall paneling with a Class A fire rating that can be used to protect the walls of commercial facilities from water damage. DuraMax Trusscore PVC Panels can be applied to walls and ceilings and are optimal for use in properties that are subjected to hurricanes, as floods can destroy walls and create fast-spreading molds.

The half-inch panels are made from 100 percent virgin PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and provide a 1-hour fire rating. The product is approved by most county building and safety codes, including Los Angeles County. As an alternative to fiber reinforced plastic panels, DuraMax panels feature a smooth, moisture-resistant, sanitary finish that makes for easy installation, cleaning and maintenance.

The panels may be installed directly to studs, without the need for any wooden backer or messy gluing and are designed to never be replaced. Potential applications include commercial, industrial and residential properties in high-moisture situations, such as storage warehouses, food processing facilities and car washes.
