Pipeline Workspaces Coming to Tampa

Pipeline Workspaces has revealed plans to open its seventh U.S. location and first in the Tampa Bay market. The company, which specializes in shared workspaces, will occupy the entire 15^th floor of Park Tower, a 475,000-square-foot office tower in downtown Tampa, Fla.

The tenant’s new location will encompass 15,000 square feet at the Class A, LEED Gold-certified building and will feature open spaces, dedicated desks and private offices. Prices will range from $199 to more than $5000 per month. Architecture firm Gensler will oversee the design of the new Pipeline space.

Capital improvements

Located at 400 N. Tampa St., Park Tower is currently undergoing an expansive modernization program that will include a complete upgrade of the 36-story tower’s facade. Renovation plans also include the addition of new tenant amenities, such as a new lobby concierge desk, fitness center and shared tenant conference room.

CBRE brokers Shay Pope and Mike Fisher represented Pipeline Workspaces, while Mike DiBlasi and Ceci Tricoli of Feldman Equities worked on behalf of the ownership group in the lease negotiations. According to Yardi Matrix, City Office REIT partnered with Feldman Equities and Tower Realty Partners in November 2016 for the acquisition of Park Tower.

“The Pipeline deal is significant for downtown Tampa,” said DiBlasi, Feldman Equities EVP of leasing and marketing, in prepared remarks. “Tampa is joining the likes of Miami in attracting one of the country’s preeminent shared workspace companies to its urban core.”

Pipeline’s announcement comes just six months after the shared workspace company made its entrance into the Central Florida market with Pipeline Orlando.

“Tampa’s economy, driven by its growing financial services and information technology sectors, is booming. Major investment in the revitalization of its urban core combined with a tight office market provide a receptive environment for the kind of business and social network Pipeline fosters,” added Pipeline co-founder Philippe Houdard, in a prepared statement.
