Opening of Waukegan Amazon Distribution Center on Track
The new facility bears the signature of Bridge Development Partners and is expected to be fully functional by the end of July 2017.

The new 626,848-square-foot Amazon distribution center in Waukegan, Ill. is expected to open its doors by the end of July, 2017. The company has been working on setting up its operations since late 2016, when Bridge Development Partners finalized the construction.
The Lake County Workforce Development Department started the interviewing and training process for the approximately 400 jobs created at the new distribution center. This figure represents four times more jobs than Amazon initially announced. Â
A Top-of-the-Line Distribution Center
Located at 1750 Bridge Drive, the facility is one of the several Class A storage spaces that Amazon opened in the Chicago metro area within the past year.  According to Yardi Matrix data, the building sits on 32.5 acres and features 36-foot clear heights, ESFR fire sprinklers, insulated ceilings, sky lights, 90 dock-high doors and four drive-in doors.
The distribution center is less than 2 miles from the four-way interchange at Interstate 94 and Buckley Road and approximately 20 miles from O’Hare airport.
