Mixed-Use Asset Coming to Charlotte Prime Corridor

A Lat Purser & Associates division acquired a former store, with plans to redevelop the property into 20,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and office space.

LPA Urban, a division of Lat Purser & Associates, has purchased a former electronics repair store situated between two of Charlotte, N.C.,’s fastest growing urban neighborhoods, NoDa and Plaza Midwood. The property will be transformed into 20,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and creative office space.

Located at 2501 The Plaza, at the intersection with Duncan Avenue in Villa Heights, the two-story former Carphonics Sight & Sound building is set to become a mixed-use development. The top floor will feature new storefronts and an outdoor patio along The Plaza, while the lower level of the property is slated to include grade-level storefronts facing the Villa Heights neighborhood. Tenant spaces on the neighborhood side will include high ceilings, brick columns and covered patios.

LPA Urban expects to deliver the renovated space during the first quarter of next year. The company’s James Craig is marketing the space for lease. Previously, LPA Urban redeveloped 2100 NoDa, a former warehouse property that now features 18,000 square feet of commercial space on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway at Cordelia Park. Furthermore, the company is also converting a former auto dealership in Rock Hill, S.C., into a multi-tenant boutique retail and creative office space.
