Marriott International Inc. is getting ready to open its third AC Hotels-branded property in the United States. The AC Hotel Washington, D.C. at National Harbor will welcome its first guests next month. It will be the first AC Hotel in the Northeast.
The eight-story AC Hotel Washington, D.C. at National Harbor is currently undergoing renovations. It will feature 192 guest rooms, 3,700 square feet of meeting space and a fitness center. Additional amenities include free Wi-Fi, an AC Kitchen, an AC Library and an AC Lounge. In a news release, Marriott International said that the hotel was designed to attract Millennials ”who want a sophisticated experience, with style, inspired social spaces and technology.”
Marriott launched the AC Hotels brand in Europe as part of its luxury and lifestyle brands portfolio. It currently has more than 75 hotels in locations throughout Spain, Italy, Portugal and France. The brand made its American debut last November in New Orleans. The AC Hotel Washington, D.C. at National Harbor is one of more than 50 lifestyle hotels Marriott expects to open within the next three years throughout the U.S. and Latin America.
