Floor & Decor Leases Relocation Space at La Plaza Del Norte
Retail Properties of America Inc. has signed the company to occupy the space once occupied by now-bankrupt retailer Sports Authority in the San Antonio shopping center.

San Antonio—Retail Properties of America Inc. (RPAI) announced that Floor & Decor has signed a new 65,000-square-foot lease at La Plaza Del Norte shopping center in San Antonio.
Floor & Decor, headquartered in Atlanta, is relocating from within the market and will be taking over the former location of Sports Authority, which filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. The retail store is expected to open early next year.
La Plaza Del Norte is a power center located just across from North Star Mall and with great visibility and access from Loop 410 at San Pedro Avenue. The center is anchored by BestBuy, Total Wine & More and Ross Dress for Less.
“The speed in which we were able to backfill the vacant Sports Authority space is a reflection of our platform capabilities, asset quality and offensive posture,” stated Jason Kasal, vice president & senior leasing director, western region for RPAI. “Floor & Decor is an excellent addition to the tenant mix and we welcome them to the center.”
