Jay Quinn, senior managing director, Faris Lee Investments

Faris Lee Investments has expanded its capital markets team by hiring Jay Quinn as senior managing director. In his new role, Quinn will oversee the origination, structuring and marketing of debt and equity finance transactions across the U.S.

Capital markets is one of the most compelling and complex elements of CRE investments, and far too often it is not strategically integrated into investment strategies and solutions, especially with private investors in middle market transactions. Under Jay’s direction, we look to significantly increase our integration of capital markets with investment advisory,” Faris Lee Investments President & CEO Rick Chichester said in prepared remarks.

Vast experience

The newly appointed director comes from RealtyShares, where he served as senior director of debt and equity origination. He was also president & CEO of Potomac Capital Group, senior director of capital markets for Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors, as well as a managing director with Cushman & Wakefield. While at Potomac, he was in charge of sourcing, structuring and closing fixed- and floating-rate loans for all property types, with more than $425 million in transactions.

During his career, Quinn oversaw almost $800 million worth of development transactions and approximately $3.4 billion in financing, capital market transactions and equity placements. His vast experience in all forms of financing resulted in long-term relationships with many national, regional and local lenders.
