Baywood Hotels Opens New Orleans Property
The 124-key hotel will operate under the Marriott franchise and is situated within a nine-mile range of the city’s attractions.

A 124-key Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites has opened in Metairie, La., with the brand’s new design and décor. The Fairfield Inn & Suites New Orleans Metairie will operate under the Marriott franchise, while being owned and managed by Baywood Hotels.
Situated at 2710 Severn Ave., the property is easily accessible from Interstate 10, is less than 8 miles from downtown New Orleans and roughly 9 miles from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. The location is within a 9-mile radius of local landmarks such as the French Quarters, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Loyola University, as well as Tulane University. Within the immediate proximity, there are numerous retail and dining options.
The four-story hotel includes common-area amenities such as an outdoor pool, a fitness center, a meeting room and complimentary laundry services, along with a 24/7 Corner Market. The guestrooms are equipped with a couch, refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave.
This month, Fairfield by Marriott was the second brand in the Marriott International portfolio to reach its 1,000 hotel mark with the opening of the 84-key Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Denver Tech Center North. The property is close to the Denver Tech Center and Centennial Airport in Denver.
