Eemax, part of Rheem Manufacturing, has introduced a new series of tankless electric water heaters that provide exact thermal performance for a variety of commercial and industrial applications. The company’s ProSeries XTP models of thermostatic heaters provide water temperatures up to 180 degrees in demanding conditions such as those involving restaurants, breweries, medical facilities, manufacturing plants and schools.

The product family uses Adaptive Stability Technology to assess heater conditions and regulate unit operation for consistent and reliable output, enabling a faster time-to-temperature and minimizing overshoot and undershoot. The technology consists of AST-Flex Power, which adjusts the power supplied to individual elements in a staggered manner, and AST-Dynamic Power, which adjusts to dynamic flow situations.

Products consist of 10 three-phase delta models in three- and six-chamber configurations. The heaters, fitted with 3/4-inch NPT water connections, range from 16 to 54 kilowatts. A digital LED display offers system status and operation feedback in real time. Designed for simple and flexible installation, the units include a mounting bracket and require a single input water line, either hot or cold.

Electrification of commercial properties is gaining traction as increasing numbers of building owners and managers look to reduce carbon emissions by replacing fossil fuel-powered systems. Recently, Sara Neff, senior vice president of sustainability at Kilroy Realty Corp., spoke to Commercial Property Executive about the Los Angeles-based REIT’s all-electric mixed-use development in San Diego.
