Economy Watch Weekly: Job Growth Steady, Forecasts Predict Positive Outlook

There were nearly 6.7 million job openings nationwide in April, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. With roughly 6.4 million unemployed people nationwide, there are now more job openings than unemployed.

In its quarterly June 2018 NABE Outlook Survey, the National Association of Business Economists makes several predictions for the U.S. economy for the rest of 2018 and ’19.
