Cushman & Wakefield Selects New Senior Director

Shane Funston has joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Commercial Brokerage and Healthcare Advisory Group as its new senior director. With 15 years of industry experience, Funston specializes in commercial and health-care transactions.

Based in the company’s Philadelphia office, he will focus on facilitating, managing and executing real estate strategies for a range of health-care clients, such as health-care systems, physician practices, ancillary health-care service providers, as well as institutional and private investors.

Funston previously acted as director of brokerage and health-care real estate services for a Philadelphia-based real estate company. University of Pennsylvania Health System, Health Management Associates, Public Health Management Corporation and Community Health Systems are just some of his former clients.

“Shane is a recognized leader within the Philadelphia commercial real estate community,” Mike McCurdy, managing principal at Cushman & Wakefield, said in prepared remarks. “His professionalism and extensive knowledge of commercial real estate, especially in the health-care sector, makes him an incredibly valuable asset.”

Funston holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the George Washington University School of Business.
