Cushman & Wakefield Reveals New Canadian HQ
The workplace spans two floors and features movable walls, focus rooms outfitted with soft seating, as well as collaboration spaces with touchscreen smart boards.

Toronto—Cushman & Wakefield recently revealed its new Canadian headquarters. The workplace brings together 200 employees from two separate locations under the same roof, in an open office concept. The relocation and design of the new office is part of the firm’s global strategy of creating a community in the workplace.
Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, at Bay and Front streets, the new headquarters offers employees more flexibility in the way they choose to work, with movable walls, sit-to-stand desks, focus rooms and several collaboration spaces with smart boards. The office’s inter-connecting stairwell encourages more mobility of staff throughout the day. The new workplace provides flexible work options, cutting-edge technology and access to more natural light. The space also functions as an event space to host clients and celebrations, as well as large-scale client, internal and charity events.
Upon entering the two-floor workspace, guests encounter a a 35-foot embossed Cushman & Wakefield logo, adjacent to a five-screen digital showcase. A concierge greets guests, offering beverages and snacks, as well as seating to take in the city views. The firm’s goal is to encourage clients to use the space’s different amenities such as a café, lounge areas, focus rooms, collaboration spaces and various seating options.
“We wanted a workspace that was less siloed and more inviting for employees to engage with one another. One size doesn’t fit all and the same rings true for how people work. As a firm, we felt it important to create a space that offered flexibility to our employees in both the physical space and how they choose to work,” said Chuck Scott, CEO of Cushman & Wakefield Canada, in a prepared statement.
Cushman & Wakefield’s in-house team led, managed and implemented the entire project, including the lease transaction, facilities management, as well as the development services overseeing the design and construction. The team was supported by partners such as Gensler, Marant Construction, Haworth and DTS.
