Cushman & Wakefield Adds New Talent to NJ Office

David Townes joins Cushman & Wakefield's New Jersey office. Previously, he worked for various firms in the retail sector and created BrokerMap, an app for real estate brokers.

Cushman & Wakefield’s New Jersey team grows with the hiring of David Townes as senior director of retail brokerage. He will be working with Andrew Judd, managing principal for the New Jersey region, and Katie Mahon, managing director of retail services and brokerage operations in the Tri-State region.

“We are excited for David to join our unparalleled national retail platform, which includes more than 800 professionals. He comes to us at a critical time when the traditional retail, e-commerce and industrial needs of our clients are converging more than ever before,” Judd said in a prepared statement.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Townes worked for Ripco Real Estate as a retail leasing specialist, handling representation assignments for both landlords and tenants. His experience also includes site selection, letter of intent negotiation, office leasing and full service commercial transaction management. He also worked for Welco Realty Inc. as a retail leasing agent and founded BrokerMap, a smartphone app for retail brokers. Townes graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003, where he studied journalism and communications.
