CIG Taps 3 New Employees

Ben Arrington, Hannah Taylor and Juanita Kelley

Cohen Investment Group (CIG) has hired three employees at its office in Norfolk, Va. Juanita Kelley joins as the portfolio asset manager for the company. Ben Arrington, in the role of acquisitions analyst, will underwrite potential acquisitions and oversee the due diligence and financing processes. Hannah Taylor’s position, as investor relations manager, focuses on private equity placement and reporting in addition to investor liaison duties.

Kelley joins the team bringing more than 20 years of property management experience to the firm. Prior to her move, she worked for S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. as a regional property manager, a role she held for approximately 10 years. She began her career as an asset manager with AIG SunAmerica and in this position was responsible for property management and performance for more than 100 properties across five states in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Prior to his new position, Arrington previously worked for Marcus & Millichap and Wheeler REIT. His background includes experience in sales, development and property management across a number of commercial properties. Taylor, having worked for Wheeler REIT in investor relations following two years as a leasing professional with S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co., brings a background in finance and commercial real estate to the CIG team. She had also previously worked as a legal assistant for two law firms.

It is important that as we grow our real estate portfolio, that we adapt and add qualified personnel in both asset management and investor relations in order to maintain the highest level of stewardship of our assets,” said Hugh Cohen, president of CIG, in a prepared statement.

Last year, CIG tapped Divaris to manage its Town Point Center, a 12-story Class A office building in Norfolk, Va.
