NY Developer Acquires Last Lots in Master-Planned Community from Forest City

New York-based Petrus Partners Ltd. has recently announced the acquisition of the last undeveloped lots remaining in Gladden Farms, a 1,350-acre master-planned community in Marana. This is Petrus’ 13th residential land acquisition in Arizona since 2008.

JV to Deliver New Luxury Apartment Tower in Downtown Austin

StreetLights Residential and Hunt Companies, Inc. have formed a partnership that will build a 19-story glass and brick tower at 214 Barton Springs Rd., just south of the Hyatt Regency Austin. The project is valued at $68 million. Designed by Austin-based Rhode Partners, the luxury multi-family project will feature 300 apartment homes with high design elements modeled after a boutique hotel.

Gold’s Gym International (GGI) continues to add new fitness facilities in growing San Antonio areas. The company has recently announced plans to open two new gyms, totaling 103,000 square feet of space that will be added to the 20 locations it already operates in the Alamo City.

New York Investor Snaps Up 124040 Park Central

12404 Park Central, a 239,000-square-foot office building near North Central Expressway and LBJ Freeway was recently purchased by Red River Asset Management LLC, a New York-based investor. he four-story property was sold by Oaktree Capital for $15.4 million. The property was bought with a loan made by American National Insurance Co.

City Weighs 100-Acre Sale to Liberty Property Trust

The City of Tempe is looking to create a partnership with Philadelphia-based Liberty Property Trust on the development of circa 100 acres of land which could create approximately 6,500 new jobs over the next decade. The deal has yet to be up for council vote on February 7, 2013. If approved, construction is expected to begin early summer.

Last Lots in Twin Creeks Development Sold; Builders to Break Ground on New Homes

Standard Pacific Homes and Ryland Homes have purchased the remaining 201 lots in the Twin Creeks master-planned community located in the Cedar Park area. Together the builders will develop The Reserve at Twin Creeks, the last section that remains undeveloped of the Twin Creeks subdivision, which currently counts for 800 homes.

Enterprise Builders Starts Construction on 190,000SF Presbyterian Healthcare HQ

Enterprise Builders Corp. has begun construction on a new 190,000-square-foot office building that will serve as the corporate headquarters for Presbyterian Healthcare Services. The builder expects to complete the three-story complex by the spring of 2014. Expected to generate between 200 and 250 construction jobs, the development is considered to be one of the most ambitious projects in the Duke City due to the lack of new commercial projects in the local real estate market.

OCI Solar Power is in the process of developing Alamo I, the first phase of a $100 million major solar project in San Antonio. Phase I of this project will have a capacity of 41 megawatts and is expected to complete by mid-2013.
