Jamestown LP announced last month the acquisition of a new office property in Washington, D.C. The investment and management company has purchased America’s Square, an iconic, two-building property, located in the city’s downtown.
Affordable Housing Project Advances in Chesapeake
More affordable housing is coming to Chesapeake. The Virginian-Pilot reports that the Chesapeake City Council voted unanimously last week to approve $13.5 million in tax-exempt revenue bonds from the Chesapeake Redevelopment and Housing Authority, for the Catalina Crossing affordable housing development.
Renaissance Centro Opens Harrison at Reston Town Center
Another apartment community is now open in the Washington, D.C. area. Called Harrison at Reston Town Center, it offers 360 luxury apartments. Almost 20 percent of these are already pre-leased.

Duke Sells Last Six Northeast Ohio Office Buildings for $20M
Duke Realty Corp. is leaving the Northeast Ohio commercial real estate market. The Indianapolis-based REIT has recently sold its last six office buildings in the area.
Baltimore’s Church Square Shopping Center Changes Hands
Baltimore’s Church Square Shopping Center is now under new ownership. The property’s former owner, a joint venture between The Hampshire Companies, of Morristown, N.J., and Baltimore-based MCB Real Estate, sold it to Kodiak Properties, LLC and Burley Church, LLC, for an undisclosed price. KLNB, LLC represented both the buyer and the seller in the transaction.
Arlington County Approves 1307 N. Rolfe St. Redevelopment
The Arlington County Board voted unanimously last week, to approve the redevelopment of 1307 N. Rolfe Street. The project calls for the construction of two new residential buildings, a new public park and a new county transitional living facility. It is using the Fort Myer North Heights area plan as a guide.
Ray Fogg to Build 127 KSF of Industrial in Euclid
Ray Fogg Corporate Properties, LLC plans to expand in Euclid. The Brooklyn Heights-based real estate developer said at the end of February that it will start work Bluestone Business Center II ”as soon as the weather breaks.”
Transwestern to Market West End Office Building
The nine-story mixed-use office building at 1250 23rd St., NW, in Washington, D.C.’s West End submarket, is looking for new owners. Transwestern has recently announced it has been retained to market the property, which is currently fully leased, to a mix of tenants with an average lease term of more than 10 years.
