Boston—Security intelligence services provider EiQ Networks recently announced the move of its headquarters, within Boston’s Central Business District, from 12 Post Office Square to the 38-story tower at 60 State Street. Banker & Tradesman reports that the company’s new home, located on the sixth floor, totals 12,300 square feet.
According to Yardi Matrix, the 60 State Street high-rise, sitting at the intersection of Congress and States Streets and in close proximity to Faneuil Hall, is owned, managed, and leased by the Oxford Properties Group. The property is subject to an unsubordinated net ground lease held by The Druker Company. The Class A, LEED Silver-certified property saw completion in 1978 and cosmetic renovations in 2013. Sitting on a 1.29-acre lot, the 912,214-square-foot tower’s most recent assessment estimates the office property at $362.7 million. According to the Oxford Property Group website, the current available space adds up to 118,456 square feet, which brings the building to an 87 percent occupancy rate.
The move comes as EiQ is expanding, with the new headquarters twice the size of the previous Boston office space. During the last 12 months, EiQ Network’s SOCVue hybrid SaaS security package saw a 178 percent increase in sales and a 166 percent year-over-year customer base growth. Mirroring last year’s team growth, the company plans to add more than 50 employees to its roster in 2016, half of which will be based in Boston.
“Relocating EiQ’s headquarters to downtown Boston last year enabled us to hire a talented group of professionals to drive accelerated customer adoption. (…) In order to accommodate our rapid growth, we’ve moved to larger headquarters that will enable us to continue hiring the best talent possible in order to support our quickly growing customer base,” said Vijay Basani, Chairman, President, & CEO of EiQ Networks, in a prepared statement.
