Las Vegas – An iconic resort on the Las Vegas Strip is slated for major changes. The Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Spa will get both a makeover and a change of operators. According to a recent statement, Crescent Hotels & Resorts will assume management duties for the property.
Located a block away from the Las Vegas Strip at 160 East Flamingo Road, the Westin offers 826 guest rooms and about 20,000 square feet of gaming space. The facility also includes meeting and social space, a destination spa, rooftop pool, sundeck, a 24-hour gym and a Las Vegas Wedding Venue.
According to Crescent CEO Michael George, “Our experience in Las Vegas and other major destination markets will maximize the potential of this asset.” Open since 2003, The Westin will be the company’s third assignment in the local market.
Crescent specializes in upscale hotels and resorts and currently counts more than 100 properties nationwide in its portfolio. It is one of the few companies approved to manage properties by most of the major chains, including Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, Hyatt, and IHG.
