UOVO: BROOKLYN

UOVO─a New York-based art, fashion and collections storage company─is set to open a 150,000-square-foot art storage facility in Brooklyn, New York. UOVO will work with architectural and planning firm Butz-Wilbern to repurpose the building in order to suit the needs of fine art, design, fashion and archival collections. The new UOVO: BROOKLYN storage space is expected to open during fall 2019.

The storage facility will be located in Bushwick, Brooklyn’s art district, within walking distance of metro lines J, L, M and Z. The three-story building will comprise climate-controlled units and 20-foot ceilings to accommodate monumental works of art. Additionally, the building will feature four fully-enclosed loading docks and two freight elevators and LED lighting.

“Since opening UOVO in 2014, we have seen an unprecedented demand for our integrated art storage and services, which represent a complete reimagining of the industry,” said Steven Guttman, founder & chairman of UOVO, in prepared remarks. “Opening UOVO: BROOKLYN is our latest contribution to supporting New York’s cultural community, including artists, collectors, galleries, designers, fashion houses and museums.”
