UGL Taps JLL Alum Lickerman as DTZ CEO

Former JLL CEO of Corporate Solutions Americas Tod Lickerman was appointed as DTZ Global CEO, replacing outgoing DTZ Group president Robert Shibuya come Oct. 14.

Former JLL CEO of Corporate Solutions Americas Tod Lickerman was appointed as DTZ Global CEO, the company announced Monday in a news release. Lickerman replaces outgoing DTZ Group president Robert Shibuya come Oct. 14.

Lickerman brings 30 years of experience in the property services industry, having spent most of his career at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was responsible for the leadership of the comprehensive corporate services integrated platform providing portfolio strategy, workplace consulting, transaction services, project and development services, facilities management and mobile engineering services.

DTZ described Lickerman’s appointment as a key strategic change “which will accelerate growth and further capitalize on the momentum DTZ is already generating as the business repars to stand alone as an ASX-listed company with revenue in excess of $2 billion and 45,000 people operating across 52 countries.”

Lickerman also was responsible for Healthcare Solutions and Public Institutions businesses providing integrated real estate and facility services to the healthcare, non-profit and public industries. He also overlooked the facility management business in Europe, all at JLL.

“Our ability to attract a candidate of Tod’s caliber is a testament tot he strength and potential of the DTZ platform,” said UGL Managing Director & CEO Richard Leupen in a prepared statement. “Tod is an industry veteran and a talented, top-tier senior executive who shares our vision of creating a world leader in property services.”

Leupen added that Lickerman’s   operational experience, understanding of the needs of corporate clients and entrepreneurial drive will provide the strategic leadership required for the next phase of the company’s evolution.

According to JLL, Lickerman has worked for the company for 17 years. He started out in  August 1996 as president of Project and Development Services.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Wisconsin, and is a registered architect in the same state.

DTZ is a wholly owned subsidiary of UGL Limited, founded in Perth, Western Australia as United Construction Group Limited. UGL is an engineering firm headquartered in Sydney. DTZ became a part of UGL in 2011.
