Transwestern Adds New SVP to Chicago Office

In her new role, Kathleen Bertrand will lead the leasing and marketing activity at the company’s office projects in the downtown area.

Transwestern’s Chicago agency leasing team has welcomed Kathleen Bertrand as the newest senior vice president of the group. Bertrand, a 14-year industry veteran, will oversee the company’s leasing and marketing efforts for office projects in downtown Chicago, ensuring the best investment outcomes. She will work together with Eric Myers, who was hired last year as the agency’s executive vice president.

The new hire comes from a similar position with MB Real Estate, her employer for the past 14 years. Here, Bertrand managed the leasing of more than 2.5 million square feet of retail and office space. Her portfolio includes transactions at notable properties such as Michigan Plaza at 205 and 225 N. Michigan, 500 W. Washington St., 1 North Dearborn, 125 S. Clark St., 20 W. Kinze St. and 224 N. DesPlaines St.

A University of Iowa graduate, Bertrand is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois and a member of several professional and charitable associations.
