Thrive Senior Living Breaks Ground on The Tribute at Heritage Village

Thrive Senior Living plans to construct several senior living communities in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The Atlanta-based developer is working on the projects with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital, an industry leader in seniors housing investment, and Palomino Capital, a Dallas-based venture specializing in platform-based growth investments. On July 1, it started work on the first property in the portfolio.

The new assisted living and memory care community is called The Tribute at Heritage Village and is located in Gainesville, Va., at the front entrance of Heritage Hunt, an active adult community for residents 55 years and older. The Tribute at Heritage Village will feature 128 units, two restaurants, a spa, a fitness center with state-of-the-art digital equipment, a doctor’s office, a tele-medicine suite, a movie theater, a salon, rooftop terraces, walking trails and much more. It will also include a completely separate and dedicated memory care neighborhood for people suffering from dementia.

Two hundred people attended the project’s groundbreaking ceremony, held on June 26. Many of them were residents from the local neighborhood, whose opinions Thrive Senior Living took into account when designing the new community.

“We have worked with the neighborhood residents for almost two years now, and are thrilled to finally become a part of it. This community (and its sister communities underway nearby) will be a drastic departure from what most people think of when senior living comes to mind,” said Jeramy Ragsdale, CEO, in a statement for the press. Prince William County Supervisor Pete Candland added, “It’s so exciting to have a company that truly desires to partner with the community in this way.”

Thrive Senior Living expects to complete The Tribute at Heritage Village in September 2015. The cost of the project was not disclosed.
