“We are disappointed that there wasn’t a tenant appreciation BBQ this year. It is really important for all the tenants in the buildings to feel like a community. The tenant BBQ provides a place for us to meet new tenants and create that sense of camaraderie.” —Denver

There are so many fun events to get the building involved as a community that include bocce ball, happy hours, music in the park and food carts on the site weekly. It’s great to get acquainted with other offices.” —Portland, Ore.

“We enjoy all of the fun events property management plans. We also appreciate the charitable events they spearhead to get tenants more involved in the surrounding community. Our tenant experience is really superior.” —Tampa, Fla.

“There needs to be more client events. I’ve been here for over 12 years, and I don’t know most of the people in the building.” —Washington, D.C.

“We love the little things that are done for the tenants. The annual BBQ, Christmas celebrations, Earth Day, volunteering, etc. However, those seem to be disappearing with the new ownership.” —Aurora, Colo.

“I don’t know my neighbors. We only have one social event in the summer, and it is an ice cream social. More networking would be nice. If I knew what other companies in the building did, I would use them for their services.” —Seattle

“There needs to be constant communications via email to notify the tenants about any major events happening in the building or in the area.” —Indianapolis

“I would like to see more coffee and afternoon mixers. Some casual events that help break up our normal day-to-day routines and give us the opportunity to meet and mingle with the other companies in the building.” —Washington, D.C.

“I love that you host themed events for the holidays, like a St. Paddy’s Day celebration. I just wish they were held at a time closer to 5:00 p.m. so we can allow staff to go and enjoy the goods.” —Emeryville, Calif.

“It would be helpful if we were sent an email about events such as Tenant Appreciation Day. We got a flyer, which was posted in the office, but an email would be terrific so we could forward the email to our employees.” —Chicago

“In our previous building, there were quarterly tenant appreciation events. During all these events, there were giveaways that encouraged the offices to mix and mingle, creating a positive environment between all people on the property.” —Atlanta

“We really have no tenant experience here. I was told there are many long-time tenants that don’t like the tenant events, so they are not arranged. We have seen a lot of empty space and tenants leaving—maybe it is time to be more tenant friendly.” —Cleveland

“Property management does a great job hosting events and communicating to shoppers about events. They really do a lot to help us drive traffic into the center.” —Allen, Texas

“It would be nice if we had the opportunity to host events on the sidewalk. It would create a lot of traffic for the shop and the facility.” —Franklin, Tenn.
