Located in downtown Evansville, the four-story facility is slated to offer roughly 140,000 square feet of space. Once completed, the construction will feature a 25,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art simulation center, while other capabilities will include a dental clinic, amphitheater, clinical research area, teaching rooms, offices and surface parking.

The facility will house the Indiana University School of Medicine-Evansville campus, while the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana are also set to conduct medical education programs at the new center. Completion has been slated for February 2018.

Featuring a number of advanced technologies and benefiting from a team of professionals and trainers, the facility will be pivotal to producing new medical professionals for the state. Apart from the aforementioned schools, the center will work with a number of health systems such as local-based Deaconess Health System, Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind., as well as Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper, Ind.
