A brand new Hyatt Place hotel recently opened its doors to guests in the Midway Hotel Center campus. Indiana-based White Lodging Services, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts and the Weglarz Co. announced the debut of Hyatt Place Chicago/Midway Airport, just 13 miles away from downtown Chicago and two blocks from the Midway International Airport.
The Midway Hotel Center campus includes nine other hotels, all managed by White Lodging. The newest addition to the campus features 148 guestrooms, 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, 24-hour fitness center, as well as an outdoor patio. According to a news release, the new Hyatt Place is the tenth hotel developed by Weglarz at the campus.
“The Midway Hotel Center already features nine premium brands, and we are grateful to the Weglarz Family for giving us the opportunity to be a part of the campus,” said General Manager Justin Rodgers. “With tens of millions of travelers passing through Midway International Airport annually, we will have ample opportunity to showcase the authentic hospitality and purposeful service for which the Hyatt Place brand is known,” he added.
There is no shortage of luxurious hotels in the Windy City. Posh new hotels are popping up all around the city, including the first-ever Virgin Hotel, a new Viceroy Hotel in the Gold Coast neighborhood, as well as a brand-new Hyatt Centric hotel in the Loop.
