As autumn arrives, it is time to kick-off every collegiate sport imaginable and throw on the war paint of your alma mater. But in order to do that, you need a venue, and the University of Washington has just unveiled its completely re-imagined Husky Stadium. The massive $280 million dollar investment has already hosted its opening game, in a 38-6 thrashing of the Boise State Broncos by the Washington Huskies. The newly re-opened football stadium has received very positive feedback from those participating at the event, The Seattle Times writes.

First Hill Residential Tower Gets Approval from City’s East Design Review Board

The frantic pace of development that Seattle is witnessing in its multifamily sector is set to see another spike after news recently hit regarding a brand new residential tower project on First Hill. According to the Department of Planning and Development’s website, an application was accepted for a multifamily project at 800 Columbia Street. The developer for the intriguing project is Alecta, a European pension fund that currently has no less than three different multifamily developments in the pipeline for Seattle.

Yesler Terrace Redevelopment Finally Launches with Green Light for First Private Project

One of the most ambitious neighborhood revitalization projects in the entire city of Seattle is finally seeing plans come through as the first private residential project in the community is set to break ground. Spectrum Development Solutions, one of the companies tasked with the repositioning of Seattle’s Yesler Terrace, has been given the green light for its Anthem multifamily project. Still dominated by its history as one of the public housing districts built during World War II, Yesler Terrace is set to become a greatly updated and augmented living community.

Bellevue’s Spring District Kickstarts Development with Two Office Buildings

The development process for the Spring District project in Bellevue is now underway after the city’s official records point out permitting approved for two new office structures in the mixed-use neighborhood. Developed by Wright-Runstad, the Spring District will constitute a 36-acre, environmentally sustainable urban area that will replace the old Safeway Distribution Center in the Bel-Red Corridor. The development comes as a consequence of the area’s rising tech market and the growing interest in the Puget Sound area overall. An appeal limit was set for July 25th.

A landmark deal was recently completed after the Pacific Northwest’s largest industrial property finally traded hands for quite the fee. The Northwest Corporate Park in Kent was acquired by an affiliate of New York-based private equity fund manager KTR Capital Partners. The deal cost the buyer a staggering $170 million, a price tag that makes the transaction the largest of its kind in the entire Northwest, and one of the reference points of the West Coast real estate market in 2013.

Sound Transit Breaks Ground on Permanent Facility in Tukwila

The Sound Transit transportation system is seeing a one of its temporary constructions replaced by a permanent facility as a development project for a new Tukwila station has recently begun. Sound Transit has broken ground on a new $46 million structure to replace the temporary facility at 7301 Longacres Way that was built back in 2000. The route is a 1.300-boardings-a-day line used by commuters going to and from Seattle.

Potential Development Site Trades Hands in Bellevue’s CBD for $31M

Bellevue’s Central Business District is running out of room for development as one of the last spots in the area that could support a large commercial building was recently snapped up in a $31 million deal. Kidder Matthews representatives Andy Miller, Jason Rosauer, Dave Speers and Rob Anderson handled the sale on behalf of long-time owners Milt Walter and his wife, Sue Walter. The couple had owned the property for three decades prior to its recent trade to NIU Enterprises.
