Savills Studley Adds New Executives to Austin Office

In their new roles, Jerry Frey and Burke Kennedy will oversee tenant representation teams in accordance with the company’s growth strategy.

Savills Studley has appointed Jerry Frey as senior managing director & co-branch manager and Burke Kennedy as managing director in the company’s Austin office. The two executives will manage the Savills Studley tenant representation teams while seeing to the company’s regional development. Frey and Kennedy both join Savills from CBRE.

Experience and education

During his 27-year tenure at CBRE, Frey held several management positions. Most recently, he was senior vice president for the Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services division in Austin. Prior to that, he served as regional manager for the Financial Consulting Group in Dallas and managing director for the brokerage operation in Austin and Houston. His previous experience includes positions as regional coordinator for the commercial mortgage-backed securities program at Resolution Trust Corp. and senior vice president at MBank Dallas. He is a University of Texas graduate, with a BBA degree in finance.

Kennedy worked with Frey at CBRE as a senior associate in the same division. His role involved office tenant representation for technology and professional services firms. Before that, he was a principal at Avison Young and vice president at Commercial Texas. During his 10-year career, Kennedy has closed more than 100 commercial real estate deals totaling some $100 million. He received his Bachelor of Arts diploma from Southwestern University and his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

“Our goal is to grow the Austin office into the city’s premier tenant representation advisory firm,” said Mark O’Donnell, vice chairman & director at Savills Studley, in prepared remarks. The new hires follow a series of promotions in Savills Studley’s New York and Atlanta offices last month.
