Baltimore—Pendry Hotels, a new luxury brand from Montage International, opens its newest location, Sagamore Pendry Baltimore, located in the historic Fell’s Point neighborhood. The hotel was developed in conjunction with Sagamore Development Co.

Located at 1715 Thames St., the 128-key luxury hotel offers a 4,565-square-foot ballroom, private meeting and event spaces, outdoor terraces and pool. The property is located close to a plethora of historic and cultural destinations, including The Lexington Market, Station North, and Edgar Allen Poe’s former residence. According to The Baltimore Sun, the brick Beaux Arts building completed in 1914 underwent a $60 million renovation that broke ground in 2015.

“Baltimore has always been a hub of culture and innovation, with a rich heritage rooted in commerce and travel. It is with a commitment to historic preservation and a dedication to the unique architectural fabric of Baltimore that we open the doors of Sagamore Pendry to our diverse community and its visitors. Rec Pier will once again be a thriving economic and social center in Fell’s Point. We’re proud that Sagamore Pendry has created over 200 new jobs in Baltimore, and we will continue investing in our city, growing the local economy,” Kevin Plank, Sagamore’s founder, chairman & CEO, said in prepared remarks.

The new hotel is in keeping with Sagamore’s plan to make significant commitments through strategic investments managed by parent company Plank Industries. This is the second Pendry location in Baltimore and its opening closely follows the inauguration of the brand’s first San Diego hotel.
