The property offers a mix of 200 studio, one and two bedroom suites, along with a variety of resort-like features. Each suite offers fully equipped kitchens, flat screen TVs, functional work surfaces, as well as lanais (balconies) with ocean or mountain views.

Guests have access to an outdoor pool and hot tub, a patio bar with fire pits and a sports court. Other amenities include complimentary hot breakfast, free grocery delivery services, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, fitness center, business center, and a 24/7 market. The hotel also features 1,800 square feet of indoor function space, as well as a lawn for outdoor special events. For business meetings, guests have access to the 410-square-foot boardroom.

“We are thrilled to unveil Residence Inn Maui Wailea, not only because it marks the brand’s debut in Hawaii, but because it signifies Residence Inn’s expansion into more leisure destinations,” Diane Mayer, Residence Inn vice president & global brand manager, said in prepared remarks.

Residence Inn Maui Wailea is situated close to The Shops at Wailea, three championship golf courses at Wailea Golf Club, Wailea Tennis Club and three beaches: Makena, Wailea and Ulua. The resort is also in proximity to several of the area’s top visitor attractions such as Maui Ocean Center and Pacific Whale Foundation, accessible via the courtesy shuttle.

“We are honored to develop in this world-class destination, and know that the Residence Inn Wailea will be a valuable addition to Wailea Maui as the first and only extended stay hotel in this luxury market,” added Robert Olson, CEO of RD Olson Development. “We focus on integrating details that complement the local area of our hotels into the design and we hope that guests will enjoy the many nods to the Hawaiian culture that we have incorporated into the Residence Inn Wailea.”
