ResCare Inc. will relocate its headquarters in Louisville, Ky., its home of 43 years. Starting with fall 2018, the company intends to move its 340 local employees into a brand-new building, part of the ShelbyHurst Office Campus. ResCare’s current lease at 9901 Linn Station expires in the same period.
Construction work at the new 140,000-square-foot asset, located just off Hurstbourne Parkway, is expected to begin this month. The developer, NTS Development Co., plans to invest $34 million in the newest addition to the 230-acre campus. The office park hosts several tenants, including Chicago-based Ventas and two local companies, Churchill Downs Inc. and Steel Technologies Inc.
“As we work to fulfill our mission, we must continue to be innovators in our industries and we need a headquarters that provides energy, supports a strong culture and optimizes collaboration, creativity and working smart. We’re confident our partners at NTS will help us achieve this outcome,” said ResCare President & CEO Jon Rousseau, in prepared remarks.
A portion of the relocation costs of approximately $550,000 will be covered by tax incentives, awarded to ResCare by the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority.
