Real estate veteran Lonnie Vidaurri has joined StarPoint Properties, a commercial real estate investment and operating firm, as head of investments and capital markets.
With almost 20 years of senior level experience in the real estate capital markets, Vidaurri will be responsible for directing and executing investment strategy. The 25-year old Beverly Hills-based firm focuses on under-valued multifamily and commercial properties in select submarkets. Since its inception, StarPoint has acquired more than 10 million square feet of commercial and residential properties with an aggregate value of more than $1 billion.
Prior to joining StarPoint, Lonnie Vidaurri worked for Ladder Capital, where he led the real estate investment trust’s western region. He also held similar positions with Onewest Bank, Barclays and Lehman Brothers.
In 2016, StarPoint Properties sold two retail properties in downtown Tempe, Ariz. A private investor from San Francisco acquired the properties as part of a 1031 tax deferred exchange, for $13.8 million.
